USE your Ed to find the winner of Leicester’s 3.10.
Trainer Stuart Edmunds has had three winners from just six runners this year and his EARLSHILL (nap) looks to have a fine chance of extending the hot streak.
Leicester, Lingfield, Plumpton and Wolverhampton come under the spotlight as Templegate gives you his best bets for the day
He won twice over hurdles last spring and was going well in a good race when slipping on the turn when switched to fences.
A two-month break since his last run behind smart prospect Drovers Lane should have done him some good.
I reckon CLARENDON STREET (1.10 Leicester, nb) could be really smart.
He found all sorts of traffic problems when runner-up to Saturday’s Grade 2 winner Birchdale at Warwick on his hurdles debut and he won easily at Wetherby. A weight penalty shouldn’t be a problem.
NAP 2.30 Newcastle – Takingrisks: ‘Going well in better company and will enjoy the stiff finish’
NEXT BEST 1.20 Newcastle – Peter’s Cousin: ‘Looks a decent mare on a generous mark on handicap debut’
TREBLE 7.45 Wolverhampton – Acclaim The Nation: ‘In good form and a repeat of Southwell would make him the one to beat’
Edmunds also has a rare Flat runner in RED ROYALIST (5.15 Wolverhampton, treble).
He did well when runner-up on his first race on the all-weather at Kempton last time.
That was his first try over 2m and he was only seen off in the closing stages. There’s races in him in this grade.
