PROFESSIONAL skater Christopher Dean has given Dancing On Ice contestant Gemma Collins a reality check – warning that she won’t be an ice skating queen overnight.
True to GC form, the Essex star has showcased confidence since signing up to the ITV show – even saying that she is going to win it.

Speaking in a video trailer at the show’s launch, 37-year-old Gemma said: “[Jayne] Torvill and Dean, you’re gonna take a step to the left, cos I am about the win the Bolero Cup.”
Responding to Gemma’s claim that she will be as good at ice skating as he is, the athlete replied: “Give her 40 years, then maybe.”
Chris and his professional ice skating partner, Jayne Torvill, are the show’s head judges, and Chris has tipped former Strictly Come Dancing professional partner James Jordan to take home the crown in the upcoming series of the show.
Gemma is confident that she can win the show
He said: “He is like an athlete and competitive. He feels there is a lot of expectation because he is a dancer.
“But, like he says, ice is the leveller because if you can’t skate it doesn’t matter how well you can dance.
“When we saw them for the first time on ice what we were seeing was looking good. Although they were awkward, you can see the adventurous ones.”
Meanwhile, Gemma has vowed to be like Beyonce throughout the competition – even promising fans that she will “channel a different diva every week”, including herself in week four.

And the star is fully dedicating herself to the competition, with her boyfriend James ‘Arg’ Argent telling us earlier this month that the GC hasn’t missed a single training session.
Speaking at The Sun’s Military Awards, he told us: “She’s not missed one training session.
“Gemma is so dedicated to Dancing On Ice she’s honestly going to shock a lot of people with how good she is and how seriously she’s taking it.
